What county commission district am I in?

Tennessee county commission district lookup — all 95 counties, free, by address, ZIP, or a tap on the map.

Every Tennessee county is governed by an elected county commission, and its members are elected from districts. In Nashville the county's body is the Metro Council, and a few counties also elect some members countywide. Many districts elect two or three commissioners, so a district is not always one seat. The lookup finds the district that covers any point in the state, and names who holds it in the counties whose own lists this project has read so far.

What the lookup shows

Select any point in Tennessee and the commission district card shows the district and its county. Where this project has read the county's own list of its commission, the card also names every member elected from that district, any seat the county says is vacant, and the members the county elects countywide.

In a county whose list has not been read yet, the card says so and names nobody, rather than guessing.

Where the names come from

No state office publishes who sits on each county commission, so the names come from each county's own website, a group of counties at a time, and each county's list is read again every week. Commission terms began on 1 September 2026, after the county elections of 6 August, and some county pages were still showing the members from before then, so each county's list was checked against that county's own election results before its names were added.

Many county pages print commissioners' home addresses, personal telephone numbers and personal e-mail addresses. This project never copies a home or street address. Since 17 October 2026 it does copy the telephone numbers and e-mail addresses: every number a county prints beside a member, a home or cell number included, is shown as the county prints it, with the county's own label, and so is every e-mail address the county prints in a member's own entry. A number or e-mail address the county gives for the commission's office, or prints for two or more members, stays with the office and is not shown as any one member's.

Where the boundaries come from

The state Comptroller of the Treasury publishes every county's commission districts in one statewide map, and the districts on this map are drawn from it. A county can redraw its districts in any year, so the map is checked against the Comptroller's every month. Every source is on the sources & data layers page.

Not for legal or official use. Boundary and officeholder data come from public sources that explicitly disclaim legal precision. Confirm district assignments and officeholders with your county before relying on them for anything official.
