Every Illinois county is governed by an elected county board or board of commissioners — and finding your own district, and the person in the seat, usually means digging through your county's website. This map answers it in one click, in Cook County and dozens of other Illinois counties, from the Wisconsin line to the Metro East.

What the lookup shows
Select any point the Explorer serves and the county board card shows the board or commissioner district that covers it and the members who represent it, wherever the county publishes a roster — names are cited to their source, never guessed.
Some Illinois counties elect their whole board at large, with no district map at all. For those, the members appear on the County card instead — you still see who represents you, there's just no boundary to draw.
If your county isn't covered yet
Coverage grows county by county, and each county joins only when its own data actually answers there — the map never pads its numbers with counties it can't really serve. The standing list of what's missing, and what would close each gap, is the missing-data panel on the map.
Where the boundaries come from
District boundaries and rosters come from each county's own published GIS data and board pages; every county's exact source is on the sources & data layers page. The map is free, requires no login, and sets no tracking cookies.
